The material cost is calculated based on the weight needed to make the ring, using the daily metal market price.

Required Weight
During the process of making the ring, some metal is lost due to melting and shaping. Therefore, the ‘required weight’ and the ‘final weight’ are different.

Metal Market Price
The prices of gold and platinum fluctuate daily. However, regular jewelry shops often cannot change their prices frequently, so they set fixed prices by adding 3 to 5 times the market price as profit.
At Renshi, we achieve reasonable prices by determining our prices based on the daily metal market price. During the time you are considering your wedding rings, fluctuations in the market will not significantly change the price you will pay, so there’s no need to worry too much about the market.
We use the prices from a third-party organization (Net Japan Co., Ltd.), which are accessible to anyone.
